You should never start it up and then just leave it ticking over. That does not help the charging system, they are not efficient and actually charging until over 3-4k revs. Then the just leaving it to tick over, the oil does not fully circulate around the engine when just ticking over, you need to rev it and ride it for that to happen. So you are not only helping deplete your battery but also accelerating engine wear by doing that.

http://bikebuffs.com/questions/18/number-of-wheels/167#167Answer by Russ for number of wheelsRuss2010-02-06T02:23:11Z2010-02-06T02:23:11Z
As mLewisLogic said, they always have 2 wheels. The word motorcycle is derived from the word bicycle, but since it's also having an engine it then became motorbicycle. Then shortened to what we know now as motorcycle or over here in blighty a motorbike.

If you are not confident to do it yourself, a garage or specialist engineering shop would not charge much to do it.

http://bikebuffs.com/questions/136/what-battery-brand-do-you-prefer-ok-for-touring-accesories-racing-etc/162#162Answer by Russ for what battery brand do you prefer? ok for touring, accesories, racing etc.Russ2010-02-06T02:12:17Z2010-02-06T02:12:17Z
Unibat batteries are about the best batteries on the market IMO. They are OEM suppliers to Ducati, Benelli, Malagutti, Moto Morini, Norton, Husqvarna, etc.
You don't get that status with marques like that unless you are making a top notch product.

I agree that K&N really are very good, just thought I'd mention the others as they are a lower cost alternative, that also match or exceed OEM specs
